LAWRENCE — Chief Executive Officer Carina Pappalardo is pleased to share that The Psychological Center, Inc., received a $10,000 grant from 100 Women Who Care Greater Westford.
The $10,000 grant will go to the Daybreak Shelter, and will help to fund the purchase of a new stove, new dining room tables, and new dining room chairs for guests.
The Daybreak Shelter provides temporary housing and meals for up to 50 people per night in Lawrence. The primary program components of Daybreak Shelter are triage, engagement, substance misuse stabilization services, outreach and assessment, referral, educational services, and emergency shelter services. All program components are delivered with competencies in culture, language, gender, disabilities, sexual orientation, and age.
“This grant funding will help us make significant improvements at the Daybreak Shelter and I would like to thank 100 Women Who Care Greater Westford for their generosity and compassion,” said CEO Pappalardo. “I would also like to thank our Board President Penny Hamel for providing this opportunity to us and to thank everyone who voted for us. You just made a very big impact on many people.”
